Quinta da Espinhosa was born from the dream of its founder, Alberto Oliveira Pinto.

Over many years, with the help of his father, José António Lopes, he acquired and annexed small properties, the first of which was his chosen place, "Espinhosa".

The vineyards are planted between 500 and 600 meters of altitude, with noble grape varieties from the Dão Region, as well as very old grape varieties, some of which are almost residual.

Having been one of the first estates to produce and bottle wines with its own brand, it continues today, 50 years later, to produce quality wines, with the elegance and freshness characteristic of the Dão Region - Serra da Estrela Sub-Region.

Dão Colibri 19.32- UNDATED Wine:

Dão Colibri was our first brand, launched on the market in the early 70s.

The reason for the name Colibri has to do with the beauty of the bird, its rarity and value.

All this association is given to Dão Colibri UNDATED 19.32.

It results from a BLEND of 3 harvests, from very special old vine plots, hence the name UNDATED (wine without vintage date).

As a tribute to its founder, 1932 was the year of his birth (19.32).

Thus, from this blend, 1932 bottles were "born", duly numbered and the last ones produced jointly by father and son.

It will always be a special wine for us, a family wine.
